7 Reasons Why God has Not Yet Answered Your Prayers.

When we pray for something and God doesn’t answer, we may feel like he may not care. At times we may go ahead to lose our faith and other times we just persist like the widow in the parable of the widow and the judge.
Here are the seven reasons why God has not yet answered your prayers.

1. Asking for the wrong reasons.

How many times have we asked God for something just because we want to have what others have.

I have.

The bible says that God is the owner of all silver and Gold in the earth. After all he did create it. He knows what we need at what time and he will not give you something you asked for because your friend or cousin has it too.

We need to understand that we all have different journeys and God blesses us when the timing is right. Next time you ask for something ask for the right reason and you may be surprised.

When you see your friends having their prayers answered, don’t be jealous. Be thankful that God is in the vicinity and keep praying.

2.We want Want it. We don’t need it.

Im a victim of this too. Our hearts desires so many things, cars, big houses, partners, friends and money(everyone desires it).

We may want all this but God will at times not grant us our desires because he knows we do not need them at the moment.

The things we want are things we can live without. The things we need are things we cannot survive without.

He knows this and he provides our needs without fail. God understands some provisions are vital and he will definitely provide for us at our time if need.

Seek the Kingdom of God first and everything else shall follow.

However, God is a good God and more than anything his joy is when we, His children are happy.

Draw closer to Him and He will Draw closer to you. He will grant the desires of your heart like he did for David, Abraham, Jacob, Esther and so many others in the bible.

3. Ungratefulness.

A simple thank you shows appreciation and gratefulness when God answers our prayer. Human is to err, but this does not give us the right not to thank God for His providence. We remembered to ask and so its only fair to remember a simple thank you.

Next time your prayer is answered, be grateful because God granted you your desires.

Make a list of the things you are grateful for every morning and you will be surprised just how blessed you are.

Be grateful, always.

4.Child, it’s not yet time.

It’s unrealistic to want a car when your 10. But it’s realistic to want a partner when your 25. God may choose not to answer both prayers, even if one of them is realistic. Why? It’s just not the right time child of God.

You want it so bad but He tells you its not yet time to grant you that desire.

God’s timing is always the best!

4. To strengthen your Faith.

Losing faith in times of challenges and suffering is something most if not all christians experience.

When pain overpowers us, we lose our Faith even in the one who created us. We let our hearts harden and pain is what drives us.

He may hold back from answering our prayers to help strengthen our faith. At times, we can only discover God’s grace at the lowest points in our life when everything else in our lives is not working out. It’s at this time when we rekindle the faith, get to see God’s love in a new light and put our trust wholly unto him.

In the end, we draw nearer to God and our prayers are answered.

6. Thick Skin

Eczema has been present in my life for as long as I can remember. It left me struggling with low self-esteem, social anxiety and a generally negative outlook in life. I prayed, not once or twice but almost every hour I was awake. I kept asking God why he could not just take away the eczema with a flick of his fingers. I cried and let myself wallow in pain, lose my confidence and joy for months.

While surfing the internet, I came across a video of teens facing various physic challenges from no limbs, and lost sight/hearing and yet they were happy and smiling.

It hit me hard when I realised how ungrateful I had become. I had narrowed all the positive things in my life into this one challenge called Eczema. The journey began.

The eczema is still there. It’s a battle regaining my esteem, confidence and light but God is helping me through it. I finally found medication that works and I’m comfortable in my scars -caused by the eczema patches.

It took a long time but I’m almost there, definitely stronger, thicker skin and the world looks brighter than it ever has.
7. Come back home.

Maybe you just have to find the way back home- to the arms of God and underneath his wings. His arms are wide open waiting, waiting patiently for you to come back home. Where Grace and mercy overflows no matter the mistakes of your past.

A fountain so full and rich, all silver, gold and peace at His disposal ready to fill your quest.

For Jesus Christ died that you may be reedemed in His grace. In Him there is Joy, peace and eternal life. (I believe this are the greatest prayers God can ever grant.)

What it Means to Follow Jesus

There’s so much controversy in the world about what it truly means to follow Jesus. Some say it’s branding yourself as a Christian, others will debate it as having Christian values while others will define it as having a personal relationship with Him. I’m positive that you also have your own definition of what it truly means and here are some six Principals from the bible which summarize what it means to follow Him.

START A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.

Yes, you read it right. It’s not just branding yourself as a Christian, or talking about his works only. It goes a long way into to have a personal relationship with Jesus. It means making Him your best friend, talking to him constantly and having faith in all the plans he has set out for you.

It’s creating time to spend with Him, asking for his advice and allowing him to take the lead in our lives. Having a relationship with Jesus entails trusting Him and confiding in Him all your troubles, your worries and even your Joys.

He knows them even before you ask but He still wants you to talk to him, to grow your and to experience life together. The journey will not be easy but having a friend you can rely on makes it easier. Because, we do have a friend in Jesus Christ.
COPY HIS EXAMPLE.

Through His thirty year walk in life, Jesus portrayed one very bold and passionate Fruit of the Holy Spirit. LOVE. He loved everybody and anybody, from people with Leprosy, prostitutes, tax collectors, the sick and even the very same people who tore his flesh with a spear and nailed His hands on the cross.

He loved them deeply. He did not discriminate but went ahead to show His compassion to them. He told them of God’s love, of His forgiveness and the Grace which God would bestow on them.

Love is a very strong emotion and as Christians who follow Jesus, we should Love those around us, even those whom we feel are undeserving. Like Paul said, Love is kind, love is patient, Love is not boastful, and love is not jealous or proud.

Following Jesus means copying His example of Love to all people for peace and harmony to exist and for us to experience His fullness.

BELIEVE AND OBEY HIS TEACHING

Following Jesus entails being on the fore front of believing his words and the teachings He taught during his time. It is believing you are forgiven because he gave up His life for the cleansing of your sins and to be worthy of going before God’s presence.

It is believing that nothing on earth or in the heavens can separate us from God’s love. Following Jesus means obeying His teachings and doing what he commanded everyone to do. It is confessing with our tongues and believing in our hearts that Jesus Christ is our lord and savior.

JOIN HIM IN HIS MISSION TO REACH PEOPLE.

Matthew 28:19 – 20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach this new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you and be sure of this; I am with you till the end of the age.”

These were the last word Jesus uttered and it goes on to show how important they were. We were commissioned to reach out to all nations and bring people to the kingdom of God for He will be with us always.

GIVE HIM YOUR HIGHEST LOYALTY.

Loyalty to Jesus means trusting Him in times of trouble. Having Faith in Him even in the darkest of hours, obeying His commands and teachings even if temptation is at its greatest and living a life that brings Glory to God. And in all this, we are not alone for He has promised to lead, to comfort, to guide and to love us till the end of time.

GET STUNNED BY WHAT IT MEANS TO FOLLOW JESUS.

This may sound comical and I can assure you it’s not just saying ‘oh my!’ It is more of appreciating who God truly is. Standing in awe of His power, His grace, His mercies and His love. It is letting ourselves learn of his mighty deeds and acknowledging that He truly alone is the real Jehovah of all times. It is exulting His name and glorifying Him for He’s continuous Mercies, love and unending Grace.

Following Jesus is not just one single thing. It is a mix of so many principals and attributes but above all, it is a decision, a choice which you have to make.
