The Forever Love

Looking back, I thought that being a christian meant no challenges. Just a splendid walk with no hiccups.

I was mistaken.

And I made mistakes in my search for perfection in my walk as a christian. It took me a while to realise that I needed to let go of the baggage from my past mistakes for me to fully experience God’s love and will in my life.

And when I did, I left it all to Him. But hence had my own fair share of bad seasons. I thought challenges would be a thing of the past only to meet them in my new life. But one thing was constant. One thing was certain, God’s Love. It was there. Always there. Leading and showing me the way, correcting and discplining abd hence i got to know my walk would not be perfect.

Somedays I was bound to laugh, some to cry, others to celebrate and others to be humbled.

His love keeps me going.

Now I know that being a Christian does not mean no challenges. It means learning,growing and experiencing God’s love. It means rising after so many challenges, so much pain and enjoying the gift of today. It’s realising that God will always be there to carry you at your weakest and give you joy at your happiest. His love is indefinite and forever.

And that’s the greatest gift.
